      Vermiculite has excellent capability of heat insulation, freeze-proofing, gem-proofing, fire-proofing, and water-absorbing. Its volume could expand by 7-14 times, 30 times at maximum after heat treatment by holding at 800-1000°C for 0.5-1.0 minute. The loose expanded vermiculite will be made after the roasting, with the color turning to golden yellow or silvery white.

     The average bulk weight of vermiculite is 100-150kg/m3 with tiny air interlayer, after roasting in high temperature. Therefore it could preserve heat besides the capability we listed former.

     Expanded vermiculite is used widely in friction material, seal material, electric insulating materials, gardens, dope, board, oil paint, rubber, refractory, softener of hard water refining, architecture, shipbuilding, chemistry and so on.

     Different colors will have different prices. Usually silver white color products are more expensive than golden color.
